Terms of service

All items are made to order

Every product at Ascot Atelier LLC is engraved to order. We do not hold pre-made inventory. Production begins once your order and personalization details are confirmed. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that your item is being produced specifically for you.

Production time

Standard production takes 3 to 5 business days, or 1 to 3 business days for items without engraving. Rush options are available in your cart: Same Day Production and Next Day Production. Rush options affect engraving speed only. They do not change the shipping service you select or how long the carrier takes.

Changes and cancellations

You may change or cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it. During the first hour you can cancel it yourself from your account; after that, email support@ascotatelier.com within the 2 hours. After 2 hours the order is in production, modifications are not possible and the full charge stands. Rush orders enter production immediately and cannot be changed or cancelled.

Accuracy of your text

You are responsible for the accuracy of all personalization text submitted with your order. We engrave exactly what you provide, character for character. Please review spelling, dates, and names before checkout. Errors in text submitted by the customer are not eligible for free replacement or refund.

Proofs

A proof is available on any order by request. Ask for one at checkout or by email as soon as you order, and we will send it before production begins. Requesting a proof may extend your production timeline, since we wait for your approval. If no proof is requested, we engrave the text as submitted.

Engraving quality

All engraving is done with professional laser equipment in Texas. Engraving is permanent and will not wash off. Slight variation in tone, depth, and finish is inherent to laser engraving and to the natural variation of the materials we use, and does not constitute a defect.

Content we will not engrave

We reserve the right to decline any personalization request containing unlawful, threatening, hateful, or obscene content, or content infringing the rights of a third party. If we decline, we will contact you and issue a full refund before production begins.

Delivery times

Shipping rates and transit times are calculated at checkout based on the service you select. Total delivery time is production time plus carrier transit. Carriers may experience delays outside our control, and estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Incorrect shipping address

Please confirm your shipping address before completing your order. We ship to the address provided at checkout and are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect or incomplete address. If a package is returned to us for that reason, the buyer is responsible for reshipping costs.

International orders

Where international shipping is offered, the buyer is responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, or duties. These are not included in the product or shipping price and are outside our control. A package refused at customs and returned to us does not qualify for a refund of shipping costs.

Damaged or incorrect orders

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or with an engraving error on our part, email support@ascotatelier.com within 14 days of delivery with photos. Once verified, we send a replacement at no cost to you.

Returns

We do not accept returns or issue refunds on personalized items for change of mind, buyer's remorse, or personalization errors submitted by the customer. Items ordered without engraving may be returned by agreement within 14 days of delivery, unused, with return shipping paid by the customer; email us first. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Contact us first

If something is wrong with your order, email us before contacting your bank or card issuer. We respond within one business day and resolve legitimate issues quickly. Most problems are settled faster this way than through a dispute.

If a dispute is filed

When a chargeback is filed on a delivered, correctly produced custom item, we respond to the card issuer with full order documentation: the personalization text submitted at checkout, order confirmation, production records, and carrier delivery confirmation.

Designs and logos you submit

By submitting a logo, image, or design for engraving, you represent and warrant that you own it or hold the rights to use it, and that it does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other right. Ascot Atelier engraves customer-submitted content in good faith and is not responsible for infringement arising from artwork provided by the customer.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ascot Atelier, its owners, employees, and agents against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your violation of these Terms, your submission of infringing content, or your use of our products in violation of applicable law.

Our intellectual property

All product designs, photographs, text, and branding on ascotatelier.com are the property of Ascot Atelier. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without written permission.

Age and local law

You must be of legal age to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction to place an order. Some items we sell, including knives and other bladed goods, are subject to age restrictions and possession or carry laws that vary by state, county, and country. You are responsible for confirming that an item is legal for you to purchase, own, and carry where you live before ordering. We do not ship restricted items where prohibited, and orders may be cancelled if a restriction is identified.

Safe use

Our products are sold for lawful personal use, collecting, and gifting. You assume all responsibility for the safe handling, storage, and use of any item purchased, and for keeping items away from children.

Prices, descriptions, and errors

Prices and product availability may change without notice. We work to keep descriptions, dimensions, and images accurate, but small variations can occur and screens render colors differently. If an item is listed with an obvious pricing or description error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund rather than fulfill it at the incorrect terms.

Bulk and group orders

We accommodate group and corporate orders, including groomsmen sets, weddings, and company gifting. Contact us before placing a large order to confirm pricing and production timelines. Bulk orders are subject to these same Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Ascot Atelier for any claim arising from your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, and disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you place your order is the version that applies to it. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
